I've found t...Queries are tough, tough, tough. I've found that it's a process, and a rather long one. You might not come up with the perfect pitch the first time around, or even the second or third. <br /><br />What writers tend to do when they first write their query is include way more info than is actually needed. Cut ALL the backstory and in the very first line, the second at the very latest, get right to the very heart of the conflict. This a lesson I've learned over the last 12 months.
